We began life as a pop up in a Leeds City Centre bar during the Covid 19 Lock Down! At the core of our values was a mission to bring Leeds authentic NYC & Detroit Pizza.
We began life as a pop up in a Leeds City Centre bar during the Covid 19 Lock Down! At the core of our values was a mission to bring Leeds authentic NYC & Detroit Pizza.
Pizza Freak began as a Leeds city-centre pop-up during the 2020 lockdown before finding a permanent home on Kirkstall Road. Our mission has stayed the same: make authentic NYC and Detroit-style pizza with character, quality ingredients and dough that is given the time it deserves.
Our dough starts with a nutty Italian biga pre-ferment, a little malt for NYC flavour and a 72-hour bulk fermentation for strength and complexity. We prepare toppings including pastrami, pulled pork and meatballs in-house, then serve the finished pizzas for dine-in, collection and delivery.
